Husband-wife duo, cellist Edward Arron, and pianist Jeewon Park will be joined by our Artistic Director, Sunmi Chang.
Written in 1846 when Clara Schumann was 27, this strikingly beautiful piano trio is regarded as her greatest achievement.“There is nothing like the satisfaction of composing some-thing oneself and hearing it afterwards.” Clara Schumann
Dumka (the plural form, Dumky), literally translated as "a fleeting thought" in the Ukrainian language, is a sung lament. Each dumka alternates between a brooding melancholy and sharply contrasting interludes of dancelike exuberance.
Summit Chamber Music Series exists to provide transformational, community-building experiences with classical chamber music.
