SEASON FINALE

Saturday, April 9, 7 PM
Suncrest United Methodist Church

We are dedicating this concert to the Remarkable People of Ukraine. As small efforts to help, 50% of our ticket sales will be donated to UNICEF USA to help children in Ukraine. 💙 💛 🇺🇦

“This will be our response to violence:
to make music more intensely,
more devotedly,
more beautifully than ever before.”
- Leonard Bernstein

Husband-wife duo, cellist Edward Arron, and pianist Jeewon Park will be joined by our Artistic Director, Sunmi Chang.

CLARA SCHUMANN | Piano Trio Op. 17

Written in 1846 when Clara Schumann was 27, this strikingly beautiful piano trio is regarded as her greatest achievement.“There is nothing like the satisfaction of composing some-thing oneself and hearing it afterwards.” Clara Schumann

DVOŘÁK | Piano Trio “Dumky”

Dumka (the plural form, Dumky), literally translated as "a fleeting thought" in the Ukrainian language, is a sung lament. Each dumka alternates between a brooding melancholy and sharply contrasting interludes of dancelike exuberance.

On Friday, our guest artists will be giving masterclasses at West Virginia University School of Music! We are so excited that the students at WVU will have a chance to work and meet with them!
