Bartók wrote Contrasts at the request of clarinetist Benny Goodman “king of swing” and the great Hungarian violinist Joseph Szigeti. His music is colorful, vital, provocative, and variegated, and extremely personal. Celebrated clarinetist David Shifrin along with award-winning pianist Adela Hyeyeon Park and Artistic Director Sunmi Chang take us into the enthralling world of Bartók.
