YooJin Jang is an award-winning violinist recognized for her commanding artistry and fearless technique. A winner of the Concert Artists Guild Competition and First Prize at the Sendai International Music Competition, she has garnered international attention from critics including The Strad, which praised her “fiery virtuosity.” Her career encompasses a wide range of concerto and recital engagements across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Jang has performed with leading orchestras such as the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Budapest Festival Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, KBS Symphony Orchestra, and numerous U.S. symphonies. Her recital highlights include a Carnegie Hall debut and appearances at Jordan Hall, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series. She has released multiple recordings, including live concerto performances and recital albums featuring core Romantic and 20th-century repertoire.

An accomplished chamber musician, Jang is a co-founder of the Kallaci String Quartet and has been featured by Caramoor’s Rising Stars, Marlboro, and Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute. She earned her undergraduate degree from the Korean National University of Arts and completed her graduate and doctoral studies at the New England Conservatory under Miriam Fried. 

She currently serves as Assistant Professor of Violin at the Eastman School of Music.
