Sean Elliott is a D.M.A. candidate at West Virginia University and holds degrees from West Virginia University (B.A.) and Carnegie Mellon University (M.M.). His principal teachers include William van der Sloot, Sunmi Chang, and Mikylah Myers. A two-time WVU Young Artist Competition winner, he has also performed as a soloist in masterclasses with Chris Wu (Pittsburgh Symphony), Midori, and Ray Chen, and as a chamber musician with the WVU Graduate Quartet. He has appeared at summer music festivals in Round Top, TX, the A.I.M.S. Festival in Graz, Austria, and more recently at The Sunflower Music Festival in Topeka, KS, and the Buzzards Bay Musicfest in Marion, MA. As an active professional, he currently holds tenure at the West Virginia Symphony, Wheeling Symphony, Pittsburgh Opera, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Orchestras.
