Mimi is grateful to Summit CMS for the opportunity to narrate this playful masterpiece and reminds children in the audience that Prokofiev’s wolf isn’t scary at all but to “keep your eyes open when the French horn plays”- just in case.

Mimi and her husband Bob recently moved back to Morgantown, her childhood home, after careers ranging from fundraising to broadcast journalism to capital equipment sales. Prior to her work in local TV, Mimi reviewed pop concerts for the Boston Globe, interviewing performers ranging from Johnny Cash to the Eagles. But her favorite job, by far, was the decade she spent as a high school English teacher, where someone actually paid her to read Shakespeare and stage musical theatre classics like Damn Yankees and Guys and Dolls, starring kids who had no idea how talented they were.

For the past 20 years, Mimi has been an active volunteer for the West Virginia Child Advocacy Network (WVCAN) and is the past recipient of the Volunteer Leadership Award from Philanthropy West Virginia. She just completed her second term as president of the WVCAN Board of Directors, a statewide alliance of 21 Child Advocacy Centers dedicated to helping child victims of abuse, including Mon Co. children who every day are served at the Mon Co. CAC by Dr. Laura Capage and her dedicated staff of healing professionals.

After returning to Morgantown, Mimi became a volunteer for Mountaineers Indivisible Citizen Action, a local grassroots organization dedicated to strengthening democratic institutions and actively defending the U.S. Constitution. She is the mother of two grown children who live in the Pittsburgh area, and four grandchildren, all of whom will be at the concert. Heath, age 6, plans to keep his eyes open.
