Greek flutist Dr. Eftihia Arkoudis is a performer, educator, and arts entrepreneur known as“a natural performer who conveys her ideas and narrative very well” (Pittsburgh Concert Society). A storytelling artist and visionary leader at heart, she uses music as a catalyst for advocacy and community-building to empower the next generation of musicians. 

Eftihia’s performances have taken her across Greece, Italy, Turkey, Austria, Germany, Finland, Luxembourg, and the United States. She is a 2025 Silver Global Music Awards winner, 2024 Latin GRAMMY®-nominated album executive, and a Trevor James Low Flutes Artist. As the founding member of the award-winning BETA Quartet (USA) and 3Pirouetten (Germany), she has premiered over 50 works, recorded 8 chamber music albums, and co-led artistic initiatives that raise social justice awareness. 

Eftihia believes that inspiring the youth returns tenfold across generations. She teaches music and mentors students from pre-K through university and adult learners. Over the years, this work has unfolded through faculty appointments at University of Florida, West Virginia University, and Frostburg State University. The founder of EVA Arts Collective, she is now active through her private studio, community engagement programs, and her service as an adjudicator, clinician, and speaker throughout the U.S. and Europe, including fundraising with the Tampere Flute Festival. 

Dr. Arkoudis was awarded the 2024 Outstanding Staff for Excellence award from West Virginia University for forging partnerships between higher education and local communities, while serving as Director of WVU’s Community Music Program (2021-2024). Today, she continues her mission in nonprofit arts leadership as Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (PYPO).
